Perfume Price Tracker follows the price of perfumes at several online shops, shows how it changes and tells you when a good offer appears.
In short: no account, no ads, no analytics, no data sold or shared. Your collection, your alerts and your notifications stay on your phone.
The app is published by Atria.Eponym, individual developer based in France. Contact: atria.eponym@gmail.com
The perfumes you follow or own, your alert thresholds, the notification history and the list of links you sent are stored only on your phone. The app never asks for your name, e-mail address or age.
The catalogue and the prices come from the shops' public pages, read every day by the app's service, hosted by Supabase in Paris (European Union). Your phone downloads these prices; it sends nothing about you. As with any Internet exchange, the host sees the connection's IP address; the app links it to nothing.
Every morning your phone downloads the day's prices, compares them with your thresholds and shows the notification itself. No remote notification service is used: your thresholds never leave your phone.
When you paste the link of a perfume page, your phone opens that page and the shop's robots.txt file to check that it can be followed: the shop sees your connection, as for any visit. If the page is suitable, only the link is sent to the app's service, with a random number used to give you the answer. Nothing about you goes with it.
The "see" button opens the shop's page in your browser. What happens there falls under the shop's own privacy policy.
You can ask for access, correction or deletion of your data by writing to atria.eponym@gmail.com. Uninstalling the app deletes everything it stored on your phone. You can also contact the French data protection authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
